From the Master’s Chair
The Christmas meeting of Lodge Enterprise had 69 in attendance, including over 20 ladies, non-masons and children. Under the direction of Desma and V.Wor. Bro.Brian Stephens, based on their previous experience of past Christmas meetings, the night was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
We had a short ‘business only’ meeting, whilst the ladies and non-masons were entertained by Wor. Bro.Paul Clarke. The Lodge then adjourned for an excellent Christmas banquet which included a surprise visit from ‘Bro.Santa Claus’ (Rt.Wor. Bro. Ken Burns) with presents for the children. After the banquet all went back to the lodge room for Christmas carol singing, ably led by V.Wor. Bro.Kevin Goodwin with the Enterprise orchestra.
Then it was time to draw the special raffle of 9 hampers prepared by Desma and most were won by the ladies, adding to their enjoyment of the night.
Lodge Enterprise gathered an excellent amount of goods for the Ronald McDonald House Appeal and I again thank all who contributed.
I look forward to our January ‘Burns Night’ meeting and a good attendance to enjoy the haggis.
Happy New Year to all.
