March Meeting of Lodge Enterprise No.400
Our March 2014 meeting was well attended with 27 members being present, with 5 visitors. There were also quite a few apologies from brethren who had work commitments and because of illness. To those that are not well we keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as well as in our toast to Absent Brethren.
The work of the evening was an Exemplification of the Second Degree and was carried out with the usual integrity of the Master and his officers and brethren. The ceremony was further enhanced by the presence of the Lodge Enterprise Orchestra which consists of six highly talented musicians.
The District Grand Inspector of Workings for Districts 41 & 43, V. Wor. Bro. Gary Herrett was also in attendance and he made comments on how music brings such lustre to the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, the Wor. Master, Wor. Bro. Barry Stephenson thanked V. Wor. Bro. Brian Stephens for acting as candidate for the evening.
Before the Lodge was closed, the Secretary, Wor. Bro. Phil Holden announced that the Lodge has two applicants for membership, 1 new candidate and 1 affiliation. This is good news for the Lodge.
At the Festive Board members and guests were served with another excellent meal prepared by our chef Wor. Bro. Ian King.
