From the Master’s Chair 23rd February 2015
Fraternal Greeting Brethren. I hope you are all in good health. For those who are not feeling well at the moment I wish you a speedy recovery.
The great success of our February meeting came about by quite a few reasons. Firstly and mainly by the visitations made by our candidate Bro Mark Wolff who has, since the night he was initiated, been a regular visitor to many of the Lodge in the Newcastle and Maitland areas. Thirty Three visitor from Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie and Sydney including in the 33 visitor were 5 Sitting Worshipful Master and two fraternal from, Lodge Benjamin Pryor and Lodge St, James, came to witness Bro Wolff take his third step in Masonry.
Secondly, thirty six of our own members also came to Lodge, a very good attendance indeed. The percentage of members who attended this meeting was 45.6%. of our membership.
Thirdly the work by the Officer and Brethren who carried out their duties, performed during the Ceremony. Thank you brethren.
I once again thank all of our members and visitor for their attendance and I must offer, again, my thanks to Mrs Gail Marshall, Mrs Narelle Harden and Mrs Cheryl Richardson for the wonderful meal that was provided for our enjoyment in the South.
The progress of the Membership Assistance Scheme re Mr Joel Hartcher is being finalised and we hope to be able to Initiate him in May. Let’s not stop trying to convince more of our young friends to think about joining this wonderful fraternity.
The work for next Month’s meeting we will be the explanation the M.O.P. and The Working Tools of the First Degree, the Working Tools of the Second Degree and also the Second Tracing Board plus some musical item by our musical brethren.
Brethren I ask you to give some serious thought to attending the Half Way picnic between Lodge Enterprise and The Leichhardt Lodge at Budgewoi, on the 15th March bring your Grandchildren, give your family an outing to enjoy.
