From the Master’s Chair
As you already know, Lodge Enterprise has installed a defibrillator in the New Lambton Masonic Centre and we held two training courses to encourage confidence in its use by the Masonic Centre tenants and to introduce other Masonic Centres to its use. Lodge Enterprise received many good comments from these courses.
My thanks to V W Bro Barry Stephenson, V W Bro Gordon Taylor and V W Bro Ross McKenzie for their assistance in making them a success.
Our Halfway picnic with The Leichhardt Lodge at Budgewoi was unfortunately washed out. Maybe we should consider holding it earlier or later in the year.
We received the sad news, just prior to our meeting, that W Bro Ross Mathew, a regular visiter with the Leichhardt Lodge fraternal, had passed to the Grand Lodge above. He fought a gallant battle with prostate cancer for over 2 years and lost his battle on the weekend of 21-22nd of March. He is survived by his wife Judy and their children.
Our March meeting was another successful meeting and I thank the brethren who carried out the work of the evening. Congratulation to Bro Darren Rolph and Bro Sam Dalzell who performed the two charges in the first degree, namely the M.O.P. and the First Tools. This was the first time these brethren had delivered a charge. Full credit to them for the way that they carried out their duties.
Our April meeting will be our usual “ANZAC” Memorial Service Meeting and it will be open night so bring your wives, family and friends.
For those who are not well I wish you a speedy recovery. Stay safe.
Wor. Bro. Arthur Rolph Worshipful Master
