From the Master’s Chair July 2015
At our July meeting the Officers and I presented a paper dealing with various common items of the working of the Lodge. Items such as the use of the gavel, the pedestal columns, why we use “So Mote it Be” and its origins, and so on, were explained in some detail. Newer brethren such as our EAF Bro. Joel Hartcher have received a lot of Masonic education from the presentations of the last couple of meetings and he has sent me a message expressing his thanks to the Lodge for arranging the work which has impressed him greatly. He said that he has learnt a lot from the meetings following his initiation.
The only changes to our Officers for 2015-16, to be invested in September, are as follows:
Treasurer ——————- V. Wor Bro Barry Stephenson
Senior Deacon ————- Bro. Sam Dalzell
Junior Deacon ————– Wor. Bro. Geoff. Williams
Inner Guard—————— Bro. Darren Rolph.
Steward———————– Bro. Ron Treay
and I thank these brethren for accepting these important offices.
I take this opportunity to thank the members of Lodge Enterprise No. 400, and their ladies, who attended the District 14 Dinner held at the Kurri Kurri TAFE on Wednesday, 22nd July. It was a wonderful evening with a great menu prepared by the apprentice chefs in their final year. The attending to the tables was in the hands of the first year hospitality students.
Another District 14TAFE Dinner will be held on Wednesday 4th November, 2015. Get your tickets as soon as they become available. Because of the success of these District dinners the tickets won’t last long.
I look forward to seeing you again at our next merry meeting,
Wor. Bro. Arthur Rolph — Worshipful Master
