A late afternoon thunderstorm on Monday the 26th October, 2015, nearly jeopardised a trip to Gosford by 9 members of Lodge Enterprise No.400. The Worshipful Master, Wor. Bro. Arthur Rolph had arranged a Fraternal Visit to Lodge Morning Star No.410 in Gosford for the initiation of Mr. Wesley Matthew Soltan.

Lodge Morning Star No.410 meetings are held on the same night as Lodge Enterprise No.400, except for the October meeting when Lodge Enterprise entertains her sister Lodge, The Leichhardt Lodge No.133 from Sydney on the weekend nearest to 31 October.

The Wor. Master of Lodge Morning Star, Wor. Bro. Noel Higgs requested Rt. Wor. Bro. David Leabeater PAGM to occupy the chair of King Solomon and conduct the ceremony of the initiation of Mr. Soltan.  Wor. Masters of the Lodges of the Gosford District were invited to perform the various charges of the 1st Degree by Rt. Wor. Bro. Leabeater and all officers excelled in performing their respective duties.

After 40+ years of friendship between Rt. Wor. Bro. Leabeater and Rt. Wor. Bro. David Driver, AGM of the Grand Lodge of NSW and ACT, it seemed only fitting that the latter be in attendance to witness his friend take the Chair for the night’s ceremony.

Rt.Wor. Bro. Driver AGM was accompanied by his Grand Swordbearer and a number of Grand Lodge officers who were admitted and welcomed by both Wor. Bro. Higgs and Rt. Wor. Bro. Leabeater.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, all visitors were again welcomed and invited to the South for a very enjoyable supper.

Lodge Morning Star No.410 is the Lodge of Wor. Bro. Lance Nelson who has in the past sought leave from attending his Lodge to make special visitations to Lodge Enterprise, of which his late father Wor. Bro. Reginald Nelson was a member.
