Some of the Public watching a video on Freemasonry in the Lodge Room

Over 30 members of the public attended the “Open Day” at the New Lambton Masonic Centre, in

Newcastle on Saturday, 11th November, 2017. This date being Armistice Day, a Remembrance Service was observed at 11am.

Visitors were invited to examine the well presented displays of masonic regalia, certificates, past master jewels, photographs, charity activities and other Masonic items. These items were explained by members of the three lodges meeting at this Masonic Centre. At the conclusion of their inspection they were invited into the Lodge Room to view a video presentation on Freemasonry. After the layout and items in the Lodge room were explained, any questions were answered.

Prior to departure, guests commented that their thoughts about Freemasonry were now quite different to those they previously had and any negative opinions were now erased. Those involved in organising the day were pleased to hear that five of the visitors showed interest in joining Freemasonry.
