Masonic Ladies enjoying Their Reunion Dinner

It was the turn of Lodge Benjamin Pryor No.709 to make a Fraternal visit to Lodge Enterprise No.400 on Monday, 26th February to carry out the work of the evening. The Worshipful Master of Lodge Benjamin Pryor No.709, Wor. Bro. Michael Blane arranged with his brethren to make a DVD presentation in the 3rd Degree entitled “The Emblems of Mortalityā€¯. This DVD highlighted a portion of the Scottish 3rd Degree and was well received by the 66 brethren present.

Lodge Enterprise was further honoured to receive a Fraternal visitation from the Worshipful Master, Wor. Bro. Michael Netherton and the brethren of Lodge Tomaree No.878 from Nelson Bay, Port Stephens.

It was also arranged by Wor. Bro. Geoff Williams, the Worshipful Master of Lodge Enterprise, for the Chairman of Masonic Centre Ltd., Bro. Andrew Robards, for a slide presentation on the progress of the new Hillsborough Road masonic centre currently under construction. Further comments and explanations were made by Rt.Wor. Bro. Peter Zeilic PSGW, Grand Architect of the UGL of NSW who came from Sydney to assist Bro. Robards with his presentation.

A 60year Certificate was presented to V.Wor. Bro. Kevin Goodwin PDGIW by Wor. Bro Williams and V.Wor. Bro. Greg Martin PDGIW was welcomed as an Affiliate member of Lodge Enterprise.

In attendance was V.Wor. David Marshall PDGIW, a member of Lodge Enterprise who had moved to Tasmania. David was visiting Newcastle for a family function with his mother, Gail and she thought it was a good idea for the ladies to meet for dinner at The Duke hotel. She rang from Tasmania to invite them individually as well as having a chat. Eleven women turned up and had a wonderful night of laughter and friendship (the meal was pretty good as well). They were well informed by Gail about the beautiful location of her home, the serenity of the lifestyle and the abundance of wildlife. Some of the ladies returned with Gail to the New Lambton Masonic Centre near the end of the excellent Festive Board for Gail to receive greetings and best wishes from brethren with whom she had become acquainted when in Newcastle.  Another great and memorable night for Lodge Enterprise.
